The CU Food Fight is a friendly fundraising competition between UCCS and CU Denver with one shared goal: ensuring students have access to the food and resources they need to succeed. Your support helps stock Clyde's Cupboard with food, hygiene products, fresh produce, and meal assistance for UCCS students experiencing food insecurity.

About the CU Food Fight
The CU Food Fight is a friendly fundraising competition between UCCS and CU Denver with one shared goal: fighting student food insecurity. Throughout the campaign, every donation helps support Clyde's Cupboard, UCCS's campus food pantry, providing food, hygiene products, fresh produce, meal assistance, and other essential resources for students in need. Last year, hundreds of donors came together to raise critical support for campus food pantries across both universities, demonstrating the power of community in helping students succeed.
Why It Matters
Nearly half of UCCS students report experiencing food insecurity while attending college, meaning many have faced difficult choices between paying bills, covering educational expenses, and purchasing groceries. Clyde's Cupboard exists to ensure that no student has to navigate those challenges alone.
Each week, students rely on Clyde's Cupboard for:
- Food and pantry staples
- Hygiene and personal care items
- Fresh Food Fridays with fresh produce and dairy products
- Mountain Lion Meals meal assistance
- Access to additional basic needs support and resources
More than just a pantry, Clyde's Cupboard provides a welcoming, judgment-free environment where students can find support, stability, and a sense of community.
