Meal Plans 101

Having a meal plan means more than just convenience - it's your key to enjoying craveable meals across campus. With chef-inspired menus, local ingredients, and sustainable practices, your dining experience is as dynamic as campus life.

What is a Meal Plan?

A Meal Plan unlocks delicious meals, coffee, snacks, and more, at dining locations across campus. Your Meal Plan includes Meal Swipes and Dining Dollars, conveniently loaded onto your student ID. No need to carry additional cards or cash!

Your Meal Plan Access

  • Meal Swipes

Meal Swipes give you access to our all-you-care-to-eat dining hall, The Lodge, offering a variety of delicious and fresh options for every meal.

  • Dining Dollars

Dining Dollars are prepaid funds that can be used at any campus dining location to conveniently purchase food, snacks, and beverages.

  • Retail Swipes

Retail Swipes let you redeem a swipe for select menu items at participating campus retail locations, giving you more flexibility on the go.

What's The Difference?

Clyde’s Cash and Dining Dollars may look similar, but they’re designed for different uses. Here’s a quick breakdown to help you spend smarter on campus.

  • Clydes Cash

Clyde’s Cash is a flexible, debit-style account linked to your Lion OneCard. You can add funds anytime through the online portal or mobile app and use it across campus—including cafés, markets, vending, and select services. It’s a convenient option for everyday purchases beyond dining.

  • Dining Dollars

Dining Dollars are built into your meal plan and automatically loaded each semester, making them the easiest way to pay for food on campus. You can also add more Dining Dollars anytime, so you’re always ready for your next meal. Accepted at the dining hall, cafés, and retail locations, they’re designed specifically for food, keeping everything in one place on your card for quick, seamless transactions. Just tap, eat, and go.
